The enlargements of artworks on this website are sized depending on the screen space that is available. Therefore, when you maximise your screen, all the enlargements will be considerably bigger.

The Dancers 2012: The Blue and Red Collections and 'Women Dancing 2012'

These paintings are an ongoing developement from a few earlier series where I was using still frames from a film I had made of two professional dancers performing naked in my studio: The Dancers and The Dancers II.

In the following collection, The Hungarian Dancers, I used some different parts of their dance and I used strong primary colours as their background because dancers dance to music - and for me line and colour are the visual interpretations of music.

I then went on to develop The Blue Collection and The Red Collection. Both of these are based on a video I had made with two new dancers. All the paintings in the Red Collection are considerably larger than my previous works and are being framed in gold behind glass. Recently I have been working on a series I call Women Dancing 2012 This is based on a video of two girls from the Hungarian National Dance Academy that I made before leaving Budapest. I now live and paint in the South of France.
