Maximising your screen / F11

Men Wrestling

This series has been painted over the last eight years. It is based on the sequence photographs taken by Eadweard Muybridge in the late nineteeth century. I have used many of his sets of photgraphs as source material for several of my paintings but I kept coming back to the wrestlers as they have so much energy and strong movement.
